General Note
Born on November 4, 1905, in Camden, NJ. Married Laura Redfield in the early 1920's. Moved from the Camden/Woodbury area of New Jersey to Miami Beach in 1934 and joined the Miami Beach Police Department in December of that year. He was fatally injured on August 30, 1936 when his motorcycle was struck by a Nash coupe driven by Edward L. Lustgarten. He died on August 31 from multiple skull fractures. Robert Boyle's name is inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. (West Wall, Panel 30, Line 19).
