Joseph Papp founded the New York Shakespeare Festival making Shakespeare available to the public. He also produced various productions such as A Chorus Line and The Pirates of Pinzance.
Raul Julia was born in Puerto Rico in 1940. He became a famous actor. His notable roles include acting as a political prisoner in Kiss of the Spider Woman and as Gomez Addams in a couple of the Addams Family movies. He was also known for his work with Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival. He suffered from cancer and died due to a stroke in 1994.
