Featuring over 185,000 digitized photographs from the State Library and Archives of Florida, the Florida Photographic Collection is the most complete online portrait of Florida available--one that draws its strength from family pictures, the homes of Floridians, their work, and their pastimes.
These online photo exhibits introduce some of the themes and collections that make up the Florida Photographic Collection.
This guide describes the individual collections that comprise the Florida Photographic Collection as a whole.

1,300 images of Tallahasseans and the Tallahassee area, 1884-1911.
Note: The Florida Photographic Collection is comprised of numerous photographic formats, from daguerreotypes to digital images, and includes everything from amateur family photographs to portraits by the top professionals in the business. As a result, the visual quality of the photographs may vary widely from image to image. While the staff at the State Library and Archives of Florida attempts to present to our patrons the best possible representation, image quality is limited by the condition of the original.
