Marassa. August 24, 1833. Letter to Call from James Gadson regarding conversation held between Gadsden and Call at Gadsden's house. There had been talk and it had reached Monticello and he was told that the talk was supported by letters extracted from Call. Gadsden hears Call is running as candidate and tells how he, himself is being thought of as a candidate he talks of their personal relationship.

August 3, 1826 to April 25, 1827. Letters to R.K. Call from J.W. Ramage. Letter 1. Pensacola. August 3, 1826 to Call. Letter of arrival from St. Mark's (4 day passage) Regarding Ramage's departure to Tallahassee. He speaks of a political opponent and a Kentucky affair. He is writing to R.K. Call in Tallahassee keeping him apprised of political affairs in Pensacola. Also mentioned a Tallahassee paper and Colonel Butler. Letter two. Noon from Quincy, October 16, 1826 marked private and confidential Ramage discusses a meeting of unknown places in the woods and that the conversation was relayed to Williams. The letter concerns a dispute to do with White's behavior concerning Mr.s C's situation and him behaving in an honorable manner. Letter 3. Quincy, 1pm. October 18, 1826. Concerns the dispute between Colonel and discusses the meeting arrangements. Colonel Butler to meet at McCall's Tavern, country is agitated about the affair, and religion masonry, friends, etc. which have been leveled against him (Ramage). Letter 4. Pensacola. November 29, 1826. Mr. Pinkham mentioned. Not heard from anyone. Sale of the home-advised Mr. Call to wait for better times. He (Ramage) states all has been silent regarding the late settlement and that he escaped with a few shots but a battery was opened upon from B.(Burch) that drove him almost distracted he was assured of betraying his principal and exceeding his instructions upon the whole, it is impossible to express the dismay which smote the friends of W. when they learned the whole truth it was in itself such a victory as left nothing to desire except the publication of the enclosed handbill, which completed the ruin. THERE IS A SECOND PAGE, BUT IT DOES NOT FIT WITH THIS LETTER. Letter 5. Tallahassee. December 11, 1826. From Ramage. It mentions an injury blow was severe one. Mentions younger. Request that C turn that scoundrel Barclay out of office. That he has an English heart. He was the cause of my fighting a very worthy officer (Dr. W). Mentions a Major Glarrel. An Englishman insulted the officers at Barclay's table and R told Barclay to take the Englishman's house and Barclay said he could not.
