Twenty color slides. Ranger-Brown reciting her poems about rural life in Jamaica. Never written down, the poems demonstrate Jamaican dialects and culture. She had performed on television with comedian Jerry Lewis, and was awarded a medal by Jamaica's prime minister for contributions to Jamaican culture in 1984. The Dade Folk Arts Survey was conducted in 1986 by folklorists Tina Bucuvalas, Nancy Nusz and Laurie Sommers in order to identify folk arts and folk artists for the special folklife area at the 34th Annual Florida Folk Festival.
