She relates how she learned to make baskets from her grandmother and studied herbal medicine from a 100 year-old peer of her grandmother. She talks about the tribal tradition of storytelling and the way in which it relates to the hardships of their lives. She also discusses spiritual and physical healing and studying herbal medicine under Suzy Billie. She refers to several specific aspects of Seminole herbal medicine such as fat in the Seminole diet, salt in their diet and aloe. She also gives an example of herbal healing.
