Annette Fromm serves as emcee. Sharp reads a cowboy poem. Granado (accordion, vocals), J. Martinez (drums, vocals), Arrazola (bajo sexto, vocals), and Martinez (bass, vocals) perform as Mestengo. Granado explains their fusion of música norteña and Tejano/Tex-Mex; the genre's origins in northern Mexico; the influence of Polish and German musical styles and instrumentation, primarily the polka and the accordion; and technical aspects of the accordion and bajo sexto. The band plays a cumbia, ranchera, bolero, and huapango.

Wayne Martin serves as emcee. T. Staley of the Florida Fiddle Association introduces the winners of the fiddle contest: Williams (Junior Winner), L. Staley (Youth Division Winner), Weiss (Contemporary Winner), and Kalischmidt/Weiss (Twin Winners). Weiss accompanies Williams on guitar during "Fisher's Hornpipe." T. Staley (guitar) accompanies L. Staley on "Franklin Gavin's Reel." Abraham (guitar) accompanies Weiss on "Horseshoes and Rainbows." The Hamilton Stompers basketball team are recognized for winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics. Dr. Tina Bucuvalas, State Folklorist of Florida, presents the Florida Folk Heritage Awards to Haitian cultural advocate Jean-Marie Denis, norteño accordionist Tomás Granado, and Haitian sculptor Almann Ulysse. Grando performs two songs and is accompanied by his band, Mestengo. Cracker cowboy poet, Sharp, reads poetry.
