Accompanying note: "Wallace Henderson, 42, is shown at his new job as the state's budget director. A native of Pensacola, Henderson, who graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1948 and the same year was employed as an auditor in the State Auditing Department. He joined the Budget Commission in 1953 and for the past eight years has been an assistant director under retired Harry G. Smith, whom he succeeded last week. The State Cabinet appointed Henderson to the $15,500-a year post upon recommendation of Governor Bryant."
