General Note
The diorama was 6 ft by 9ft at 1/6 scale. It began in 1935 as one of a couple of dioramas in an exhibit at the World's Fair. Foster L. Barnes worked there and later came to White Springs as the museum's first curator, bringing those original dioramas with him. Barnes later had more dioramas made by Exhibit Builders, Inc., in De Land, Florida.
Caesar Irving was the composer of 'Swanee', 'Tea For Two' and 'Is It True What They Say About Dixie'.
