Accompanying note: "With the finding of the lone missing painting of Provisional Governor William Marvin, 1865, all of Florida's governors from the era of Andrew Jackson are now on display on the marble walls in the Hall of Governors on the main floor of the Capitol building. The six-year search by Florida Arts Commission, which was state-wide and even into the archives in Washington, D.C., was ended. Tireless efforts by Mrs. Margaret Moorer, a member of the commission, completed the display. Shown with her is Tom Adams, Secretary of State, who was also a prime factor to furnish the 124-year old Capitol building with the historical display of the 39 paintings."
