- View of the Rosenwald schoolhouse after the hurricane in September 1928 - Boynton Beach, Florida
- Accompanying note: "This schoolhouse, constructed according to Rosenwald specifications, suffered less damage than any schoolhouse in Palm Beach County. It cost only $86.00 to completely repair the house. Many of the homes and public buildings constructed of light frame work, without sub-flooring, storm sheathing, and heavy studding, were badly damaged while others were completely destroyed...The twisted, bent and broken pine trees near the Boynton school give evidence of the destructive force which this building withstood."
