She was born in New York and graduated from Hunter College in 1945. Her volunteer work in guardian ad litem programs in Jacksonville became a model for others in the state, and she has chaired and served on the boards of social work projects in foster care, mental health, juvenile justice, and other community endeavors. President of the National Council of Jewish Women. Inducted into the Florida Women's Hall of Fame in 1982.
