Shortly after a joint committee of State Cabinet officers and Supreme Court members selected Vero Beach as the site of the new Fourth District of Appeals, Governor Haydon Burns name three new Appellate Court judges. From left are Judges J. Frank Hobson; William C. Pierce; Governor Burns; Charles O. Andrews; James H. Walden; and Sherman N. Smith, who will move from Lakeland to the new court along with Pierce from Tampa. Named to the vacancies created in the Lakeland court are Hobson, of St. Petersburg, and Walden, of Ft. Lauderdale.
