- Three Representatives discussing about Senate's retirement income bill in a House session - Tallahassee, Florida
- Photographed on May 19, 1965.
- After a heated debate, the House killed a Senate bill that would have prohibited persons drawing retirement income from receiving unemployment compensation benefit. Measure was rejected 42-58. In its original form in the Senate and approved there, the bill would have ruled out jobless pay to workers for any week that they received income from such retirement sources as pensions, social security, employee benefit programs. From left, re-examining the Senate bill are Richard A. Pettigrew, Dade County; Claude E. Wingate, Nassau County; and Julian Bennett, Bay County.
