Headquarters of the Latin American Division of Pan American World Airways is the world's largest commercial airline maintenance shops. This aerial view shows the buildings designated as the Component Overhaul Base. In addition to COB, the Miami Overhaul Base includes the PAA hangars and other vacilities located on the 36th Street side of the Miami International airport. COB buildings shown are No. 120, engine test stands; No.121, engine overhaul; No.129, accessory overhaul; No.134, plant engineering offices and shops, communications center, flight and ground training and chemical laboratory; No.140, general warehouse; No.141, general shipping and receiving warehouse; No.142, general files storage and air freight. Buildings 143, 144, 145, 146 are Dade County Port Authority warehouses.
