- Aerial view of the "Prinz Valdemar" overturned in the ship channel - Miami, Florida
- Photographed on January 10, 1926.
- The Prinz Valdemar, a 241' steel hulled schooner, was flipped on its side by a brisk wind, blocking the Miami ship channel. Miami's harbor was closed for more than a month while 100 ships with 45 million board feet of lumber and other building materials awaited unloading. 32 schooners inside the harbor couldn't leave and the delay drove many builders to bankruptcy. The harbor closing in January and the hurricane in September ended Miami's boom.
