  • Airmail was carried in wing compartments of the Stinson aircraft used in 1936. Here station manager David H. Amos at Saint Petersburg loads mail with the assistance of a post office airmail carrier, while Lee Hederman gasses the left main fuel tank. Amos is now (1954) director of personnel for National Airlines.
