General Note
Owners of the Silver Springs attraction Carl Ray and W.M. "Shorty" Davidson opened Paradise Park in 1949 as a tourist attraction for African Americans only. The park was located just south of Silver Springs and stayed in operation until the late 1960s.
Note tour boats in background. Paradise Park was a popular place for schools to bring children for educational field trips.
