  • Born on March 10, 1825 in Virginia, he moved to Florida from North Carolina. Enlisted in the 5th Infantry Regiment, Company I at Wakulla in 1861. Fought at the battle of Olustee, was wounded twice and later discharged at Petersburg, Virginia. He earned his living as a teamster, Oxen.
