  • Also known as Downtown Lake Worth, it was later added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on September 22, 2001. The district is bounded by FEC, M St., Lucerne Ave., and 1st Ave. S. It contains 46 historic buildings.
  • Slides: 1. 609 Lake Ave. Frame Vernacular architecture constructed c. 1912, oldest building in the district, 2. Municipal Auditorium at 920 Lake Ave. displaying Moorish revival architecture designed by G. Sherman Childs, 3. Rowe Building at 811 Lake Ave. built in 1923, 4. 803 Lake Ave. displaying Classical Revival architecture, 5. looking east at buildings on the south side of Lake Ave., 6. looking west at buildings on the south side of Lake Ave., 7. looking south at buildings on the east side of J St., 8. looking west at buildings on the south side of Lucerne Ave., 8. 9. looking south at buildings on the west side of J St., 10. looking east at buildings on the north side of Lake Ave., 11. looking east at buildings on the south side of Lake Ave. (note the Lake Worth Playhouse at 713 Lake Ave., opened on November 3, 1924), 12. Palm Beach Community College Museum of Contemporary Art displaying Art Deco architecture at 601 Lake Avenue.
