Accompanying note: "The grapefruit (also known as pomelo) is so named because it is born in grape-like clusters of from three or four to a dozen and a half. The fruit is refreshing, having a pleasant commingling of bitterness, sweetness and acidity. It was brought to Florida by the Spaniards, and was first shipped commercially from the state about 1885. When the fruit is large, about 50 pack to a box."
