- "Prinz Valdemar" overturned in the ship channel - Miami, Florida
- The Prinz Valdemar, a 241' steel hulled schooner, sank in the mouth of the turning basin of Miami harbor on January 10, 1926. Miami's harbor was closed for more than a month while 100 ships with 45 million board feet of lumber and other building materials awaited unloading. The harbor closing in January and the hurricane in September ended Miami's boom.
