- Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company train on west Main Street - Gainesville, Florida
- The Seaboard Air Line or Atlantic Coast Line railroads, or their predecessors, were the center of Gainesville's transportation for nearly ninety years. When passenger service still was important to the rail industry, the Atlantic Coast Line train used to run, and did so from post-Civil War times to after World War II, down the center of Main Street, originally called West Main Street.
