"The Sarasota Army Air Field was leased to the Army Air Corps by the Sarasota-Manatee Joint Airport Authority in February 1942. The entire base was later turned back over to civilian use in 1946."

For FY2022-23, the percentage of total costs for the Florida Memory program financed with federal money is 66%; the federal dollar amount to be spent on the program is $646,422. This program does not receive any non-governmental funding.
