"Spiver Gordon, a leader in the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), took up a position just outside the door of the polls when voting began and was passing out slips of paper to Negroes being brought to the polls in numbered cars... Stamped on them was 'Who's Who Among American Negroes in Florida, P. O. Box 212, Tallahassee, Fla.'"
Accompanying note: "Spiver Gordon active today outside Raa School polls ...tallies and issues slips to voters getting rides".
