General Note
Florida's first state-wide training school for law enforcement officers, the Academy will be operated by the Florida Sheriffs Bureau. Funds for the building and equipment were raised by the Florida Sheriffs Bureau. The training center will have a capacity for 32 students for each two week schooling under 30 instructors drawn from the FBI, Highway Patrol, State Beverage Department and the Sheriffs Bureau.
