Accompanying note: "John Rawls of Marianna yesterday took the oath of office as new judge of the First District Court of Appeals in Tallahassee. Rawls took the oath from retired judge E. C. Welch of Marianna (left) while Court Clerk Matt Adams held the Bible. Seated at the bench are the present judges, John Wigginton, Donald Carroll and Wallace Sturgis."
