Women carefully washing flag for 4th of July celebration in Tallahassee.
M87- 27, Box 8
L-R: Mrs. William Macklin, Mrs. C.W. Ketchum, and Mrs. Fred D. McMullen.
Accompanying note: "Place the flag, unfolded, gently into a deep tub of warm suds. The flag should never be crumpled, but should be gently swished in the suds. Most soil in washable flags, such as this nylon one, can be removed with not too much effort - if the flag has not been allowed to remain dirty long."
