WFSU-TV began operations on September 20, 1960 in a small studio on the campus of the Florida State University.
Accompanying note: "This signature will be frequently seen on your television sets when WFSU-TV makes station breaks as the station begins regular telecasting Thursday. The signature also is placed on the doors which enter the studios in the FSU Graduate School."
