WFSU-TV began operations on September 20, 1960 in a small studio on the campus of the Florida State University.
Accompanying note: "...adjusts a knob on the $52,000 video-tape machine presented to FSU this year through a grant. The machine places pictures and sound on tapes (see spools in lower right corner) and plays them back. A monitor TV set is above the knob panel."
