General Note
Accompanying note: "Assembled and built in the 1870's this was Tallahassee's first 'pre-fab' home. Cut and fitted in the East, it was shipped to St. Marks and brought overland to Florida's capital, then constructed without nails at Calhoun and Virginia streets. Now the home of Miss Clare Bowen, the unusual dwelling has been designated for early recording of planning and design for national archives."
