General Note
The Dade Street Recreation Center was later renamed Lawrence Gregory Community Center in 2002 in honor of Mr. James Lawrence, retired Recreation Superintendent, and Beulah Gregory, the first Supervisor of the facility.
Accompanying note: "Billy Oglesby and Tommie Allen engage in a bit of sword play with the wooden weapons made by boys attending the Bond Summer Recreation Program. These two weapons, along with many other things, were on exhibit at the open house Wednesday evening."
