And afterwards to writ: on the 20[th] day of October 1858, the following writ of subpoena was issued in the words and figures following to wit.

The State of Florida

County of Leon

To Dr. George W. Betton: Greeting

We command you to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Court for the county of Leon in the Middle Circuit of the state aforesaid, at the Court house in Tallahassee, on 20[th] of October [?] to testify and the truth to say on behalf of A. Macon in a certain matter of controversy between A. Macon, plaintiff, and the Tallahassee R. R. Co. Defendant, and this you shall in no wise omit;

Witness council A. Bryan clerk of said court, this 20[th] day of October 1858 and of the Independence of the United States the 83 year- C. A. Bryan, Clerk
