On the 4[th] Monday in April next, being the first day of our next term, to answer Joseph Swan Executor of John Oliver in an action of assumpsit to the damage of the plaintiff of Five hundred Dollars and have then and there this [?]. Witness Richard T Brichett, Clerk of in said court this 25 day of March AD 1842 and sixty sixth year of American Independence.

Joseph Swan (administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of John Oliver deceased at the time of his death who died intestate) complaining of Bryan Croom who was summoned to answer the plaintiff in a plea of Trespass on the case upon promises to his damage Five hundred Dollars.

For that whereas heretofore to wit in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty eight the said John Oliver being then in the employment of the said Bryan Croom
