William L. Jeter complains of Geo. K. Walker, Richard K. Call and Isaac W. Mitchell of a plea of trespass on the case upon promises, for that the said defendant on the first day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty nine at the County aforesaid made then joint and several promissory note in writing and thereby then and there promised fifty days after date to pay to the order of James H.J. Lorimer agent for George L. Fauntleroy the sum of fourteen thousand dollars for value received with interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum and then and there delivered the said note to the said Fauntleroy, who having departed this life afterwards, to wit, on the day of his administrator Charles Le Baron endorsed the same to said plaintiff who is now entitled
