Having special trust and confidence in your skill and fidelity you are hereby authorized and empowered to take in the forms of law the testimony of John Garrison, Robert Beveridge, Capt Morrison, Robert Jinkins, Warham Cromwell, to be read in Evidence in the trial of a libel against the Schooner Emperor, and against Charles G. Cox Master, before the Judge of our Superior Court of Law at Pensacola; and the same having taken to be sealed up by you and directed to our said Superior Court with this Commission.
