Court held in for the southern District of Florida before the Honorable James Webb, Esquire Judge. And whereas the said Jacob Houseman and Latham Brightman not bring satisfied with the final decree pronounced in said cause on the seventh day of December 1836 prayed an appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Territory of Florida from so much of said final decree as forfeits the shares of the said Houseman and Brightman or any part thereof. and whereas the said appeal was granted in open Court by the Judge thereof [?] therefore, if the said Jacob Houseman and Fielding A. Browne or either of them shall well and truly pay all the costs and damages that may be decreed against the said appellants on the final hearing of the said appeal, there the foregoing obligation to be void and of no effect, otherwise to remain in full force and [?]
