St. Johns County./ Know all men by these presents, that we Abram Dupont and James Pellicer are held and firmly bound unto Thomas Brown Governor of the State of Florida and his successors in office, in the full and just sum of two hundred Dollars lawful Money of the United States of American, for the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we hereby jointly and severally bind ourselves, our Executors, Administrators and assigns, firmly by these presents_ Signed with our hands, and sealed with our Seals respectively this Twenty Seventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two-

The Condition of this obligation is such, that whereas, at the Fall Term of the Circuit Court of Said County, in the year, AD 1851, one Luke, a Slave, the property of the Said Abram Dupont was Convicted of Maliciously wounding animals; and whereas the said Luke, at the term Spring Term of Said Court, was Sentenced to Imprisonment for three Months, and whereas an appeal, to the Supreme Court of the State of Florida, was prayed, and Entered in behalf of said Luke according to Law:

Now the Condition of this obligation is such that if the said Abram Dupont and the Said James Pellicer, or either of them shall pay, or cause or procure to be paid any and all Costs and Charges accruing from the prosecution of said appeal, then this obligation shall cease, determined and become actually null and void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
