said Luke a Slave, be Imprisoned in the Jail of St. Johns County for the space of Three Calendar Months from the Twenty Third day of the present Month of August, in accordance with the verdict of the Jury, heretofore, To wit: at the Last term of this Court on the 5[th] day of November, A.D 1851 rendered.

And that he pay the Costs of this Prosecution; and that he stand Committed until the Judgment of the Court shall be Complied with, or give Bond according to Law.

And thereupon, the said Luke, a Slave, in open Court, by McQueen McIntosh, his Counsel, prays an appeal from the Decision & Judgment of this Court, Entered herein, to the Supreme Court of this State. And said appeal was Completed by Filing on the 27[th] August 1852, the Bonds for said appellant; Certified Copies of which are hereto attached:
