Knows all men by these presents that J. James Pellian of the County of St. Johns, in the State of Florida, and here and firmly bound onto the State of Florida, in the sum of two Hundred Dollars for the payment whereof made and truly to be made, I do bind my self, my heirs, Executives and administrators firmly by these presents, Signed and Sealed this 27[th] day of August AD1852.

The Condition of this obligation is such that if Luke a Slave of Abraham Dupont against whom a judgment Entering on the 23[rd] Day of August of this year 1852 "to wit" that the said Luke a Slave be imprisoned in the Jail of St. Johns County for the space of three Calendar months from the Twenty third day of the present month of August in accordance with the verdict of the Jury therefore "to wit" At the last term of this Court on the 5[th] day of November AD1851. Rendered and the he pay the Costs of this Prosecution: And that he stand committed until the Judgments of the Court shall be complied with or he give Bond according
