Present the Honorable Thomas Douglas, Judge, Be it Remembered, that heretofore to wit on the fifth day of November. Eighteen Hundred and fifty one the Grand Jury came into Court and presented the following Bill to wit.

The Grand Jurors of the State of Florida Empanelled and Sworn to Enquire and true Presentments make in and for the Body of the County of St. Johns, upon their Oath present that Luke [?] of said County of St. Johns a Slave the property of Abraham Dupont on the Twentieth day of July in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight Hundred and fifty one with force and arms in the County and State aforesaid two Mules of the value of three Hundred Dollars of the Goods and Chattels the property of another is the property of Joseph M. Hernandez then and there bring unlawfully and maliciously did kill contrary to the form of the Statute in such case made and
