Original Coquina Hotel built in 1889. Sold in 1903 and renamed the Bretton Inn. James P. Vining bought the hotel in 1911. In 1923, the Bretton Inn was torn down and Vining built a new one on the same site named the Coquina. It later closed in 1968.
