General Note
Tung trees have been cultivated commercially in Florida since 1923. The nut of the tung tree produces a water-proof oil and the quick-drying properties of tung oil make it extremely valuable in the manufacture of some paints, lacquers, varnishes, water-proofing materials and a host of other products.
