The Tallahassee Democrat newspaper was founded in 1905 and located at 115 S. Adams St. from 1909-1953. In 1953, it moved to 100 E. Call St., and in 1968 to its present (2012) location at 277 N. Magnolia Drive.
Accompanying note: "In 1965, Griscom sold the newspaper to the Knight Newspaper chain. In 1974, Knight Newspapers merged with Ridder Publications. In 2005, Knight Ridder Inc., sold the Democrat to the Gannett newspaper company."
