General Note
Gov. Crist is also a candidate for U.S. Senate and Alex Sink is a candidate for Florida Governor.
Accompanying note: "Governor Charlie Crist and Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink on the steps of the Old Capitol moments before a special legislative session convened to consider the governor's proposal for a constitutional amendment banning offshore oil drilling. Lawmakers rejected his plan, adjourning the session in a couple of hours. Republican legislative leaders were angry with Crist for leaving the GOP to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent, and did not want to give him a popular constitutional amendment to share the ballot with, in response to the massive BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico."
