Accompanying note: "Artist Robert Butler was one of the Highwaymen, a group of African American painters who traveled the highways of South Florida selling their paintings of Florida landscapes to businesses and individuals... Butler is one of twenty-six Highwaymen painters who were inducted as a group into the Florida Hall of Fame in 2004. Currently Butler serves as president of the Highwaymen Artists, LLC."
The painting, "Morning at the Old Capitol", was commissioned by the Florida Farm Bureau and unveiled on March 21, 2006 at the Old Capitol.
