Castille, Department of Community Affairs Secretary Thaddeus Cohen and members of the Wekiva River Basin Coordinating Committee joined the Governor at Wekiwa Springs State Park to mark the enactment of the historic legislation."
Accompanying note: "Surrounded by the Wekiwa Springs, Governor Jeb Bush [on this day] signed the Wekiva Parkway and Protection Act into law. The landmark legislation provides the blueprint for building an environmentally sensitive expressway, protecting rivers, springs and wildlife habitat while meeting the growing transportation needs of Central Florida."
