• Florida A & M president Frederick Humphries presents a FAMU Centennial Medallion to former Governor LeRoy Collins, for his service to the university. One hundred of the hand sculptured medallions have been struck and finished in antique bronze. The medal is a replica of the University seal and a Centennial logo. They will be awarded to friends of the university who have distinguished themselves in the areas of leadership, scholarship, and services.
