A long time resident of Tallahassee, and well known radio personality, Hollister began his career with WOND radio station in Pleasantville, New Jersey, in 1951. He worked at WMBR (Rick Hollister Show) in Jacksonville, Florida from 1957-1958 and then moved to Tallahassee to work with WTAL and WGLF until 1969.
