Algy and Arthur Bevins
Brothers originally from Pennsylvania later from Davenport. They served together on the USCGC Tampa and went down with all other hands on September 26, 1918. It was presumed to have been torpedoed. It was the second largest loss of life in the Naval service, at sea, in WWI.
